- 18/10/2105

On Friday 16 October Mrs Janet Bowen, Lord-Lieutenant of Ross and Cromarty, accompanied by the Convener of the Highland Council and the Regimental Colonel of 7SCOTS took the salute in Dingwall as 4SCOTS (The Highlanders) exercised their privilege of marching with colours flying and bayonets fixed through the town.

Mrs Bowen had the day before attended the predecessor ceremony in Inverness where The Highland Council had given the Royal Regiment the freedom of the Highlands.

Following the march past Mrs Bowen together with Cllr Angela MacLean and Regimental Colonel Hughie Monro spoke briefly at a reception at the Town Hall to welcome the Regiment.
