A presentation will be made next week to the Lord-Lieutenant's Cadet for the coming year…
Lord Lieutenant for Ross, Cromarty, Skye and Lochalsh, Janet Bowen, will present the framed parchment to Cadet Flight Sergeant Scott Bannerman from Newmore. It will take place on Tuesday 8 June at the 379 (County of Ross) squadron of the Air Cadets in Alness.
The appointment is held for one year and the selected candidate will attend the Lord-Lieutenant in the course of official duties. Flt Lt Andy Dobson RAFVR(T), Squadron Commanding Officer, said "It is a great honour for any cadet to be awarded this prestigious award and for this honour will be the pinnacle of their cadet experience."
The Lord-Lieutenant will also present the certificate of appointment to Cadet Warrant Officer Alexander MacDonald from Barbaraville, who was recently confirmed as a Cadet Warrant Officer - the highest rank achieved within the Air Cadet organisation.
