A Dingwall teenager has been appointed as the Lord-Lieutenant's cadet for Ross-Shire.
Cadet Company Sergeant Major Casey MacKenzie (18) was presented with her certificate by Lord Lieutenant Janet Bowen at the end of gruelling exercise at Fort George.
Casey has been an army cadet for the last 6 years and during that time she has completed her Four Star Certificate and will complete her Silver Duke of Edinburgh's Award in July.
She has also represented the Army Cadet Force in Scotland at Tug 'o War and her Battalion at football. Casey is a qualified instructor and teaches cadets at Dingwall Platoon in a wide range of subjects.
She is currently helping in a nursing home but hopes to follow a career in the police.
